eTryvoga Privacy Policy
Updated 3 September 2026 · Effective 3 September 2026
We want it to be obvious which data the map and app need — and which we deliberately do not take. This page describes eTryvoga’s practices. It supplements the operator’s policy and does not replace it.
What matters
We don’t sell your data
eTryvoga user personal data is not sold.
GPS stays on your device
After you tap locate, the map may use GPS on this device to show your position. We do not send those coordinates to our servers, we do not store them, and they are left out of screenshots. In the app, you pick alert regions yourself.
Ads only in the app
The map currently has no ads. The mobile app may show ads from third-party networks.
Minimum technical data
We only collect what the service needs to stay reliable: preferences, push delivery, diagnostics, and aggregated map analytics.
1. Controller and contacts
This policy covers the map at map.etryvoga.com and the eTryvoga (eAlert) iOS and Android app. Data requests: [email protected]. eTryvoga is an unofficial volunteer project; we handle requests in good faith within the team’s capacity.
2. What we process
The amount depends on whether you use the map, the app, or both. The categories below may be processed. We do not require a name, phone number, or sign-up to open the map.
Data categories
Interface preferences
Language, map layers, theme, labels, feed sound. Usually only in the browser’s localStorage, with no account.
Map analytics
Google Analytics 4: page views, device/browser type, approximate place (country or city from IP). No names and no precise GPS.
Push notifications
An FCM token and the regions you choose, so an alert can reach your device. Consent is the OS or browser prompt.
In-app subscription
Purchase or subscription status is handled by the App Store and Google Play. We only see what we need to unlock paid features.
Ads in the app
Ads may be shown by third-party networks (including Google AdMob). They may process a device advertising ID and technical data. The map has no ads.
Support messages
If you email [email protected] — the subject, the text, and the address the message came from.
On-device data
App flags and cache. Often never sent to our servers; gone after you delete the app or clear the site.
3. What we do not collect
To avoid surprises, here is what eTryvoga deliberately does not do:
3.1. We do not collect or upload precise GPS. The optional on-map position marker stays in this browser tab.
3.2. We do not sell personal data.
3.3. We do not build our own advertising profile of map users and we do not make automated decisions with legal effect (GDPR Art. 22).
3.4. We do not read other apps on your phone or collect a list of third-party sites you visit, other than analytics of eTryvoga’s own pages.
4. Why we need it
Data is used to show the map in your language, remember layers and theme, deliver alerts for the regions you chose, understand how the site is used, fix outages, and (in the app) show ads that help keep the service running. Legal bases: providing the service you ask for; legitimate interest in reliability and security; consent — for push and, where the law requires it, for analytics cookies or advertising.
5. Cookies and local storage
The map stores technical flags in localStorage (language, layers, appearance, sound). Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. You can clear them in the browser; some map preferences will then reset.
6. Push notifications
App alerts need a system permission. You can withdraw it in iOS or Android settings; after you unsubscribe the token is no longer used for delivery. The browser map does not need push to show the feed.
7. Third-party services
Infrastructure, analytics, and message delivery may go through vendors. On the map — Google Analytics; the website currently has no ads. In the app — Firebase Cloud Messaging (Firebase policy) and ad networks, including Google AdMob. Purchases — Apple and Google. Hosting and content delivery may process technical logs (including IP) for security and speed. Each vendor has its own policy. Some processing may happen outside the EEA; typical safeguards are standard contractual clauses and vendor policies.
8. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the collection purpose or as the law requires:
8.1. Local preferences — until you clear the browser or delete the app.
8.2. Map analytics — according to Google Analytics settings for our property.
8.3. Push tokens — while the notification subscription is active, plus a short technical period after unsubscribe.
8.4. Support email — while the request is open and as long as needed for a proper reply and to protect legal rights.
9. Your rights
Where GDPR applies (including because the operator is in Poland), you can email [email protected] with a subject such as “GDPR — access”. We may ask you to confirm who you are. As a guide: we acknowledge within 7 days and respond within 30 days (complex cases may take longer — we will say so).
9.1. Access — confirm whether we process data and obtain a copy.
9.2. Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
9.3. Erasure — delete data where we have no lawful reason to keep it.
9.4. Restriction — temporarily stop certain processing.
9.5. Portability — receive data in a machine-readable form where technically feasible.
9.6. Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
9.7. Withdraw consent — for push, optional analytics, and in-app ads (system advertising settings on iOS/Android), without affecting lawfulness before withdrawal.
9.8. Complaint — to a supervisory authority: in Poland, UODO; in Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner; in the EU, the authority of the country where you are.
10. Children’s data
The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that such data was sent to us, we will delete it. Write to us if you believe a child provided personal data.
11. Security
Connections to the service use HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems is limited. We minimise fields in logs. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a vulnerability, email [email protected] with the subject SECURITY.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the service or the law changes. The new version is published with a date. Continued use after it takes effect means you accept the updates to the extent the law allows.
13. Relation to other documents
eTryvoga privacy is governed by this page together with the Wild Pluto policy. Other use of the service is covered by the eTryvoga Terms of Use. The Ukrainian text of this page is authoritative; other languages are for convenience.
